Statement
The minority has spoken.
We are disappointed in the outcome of this vote, but the electorate has been heard and - although the governor and the legislature have determined that “one person, one vote” no longer means anything - as educators no one understands or respects the democratic process better.
I want to thank the administration and the Board of Education for taking a stand in putting up a budget that they believed was in the best interest of the Three Village School Community. In whatever manner the Board of Education decides to address the need to cut another 1.9 million dollars from our budget, we will all have to deal with the devastating effects of the cuts lay ahead.
September 2012 will certainly look very different than the start of any other school year we have experienced. It remains to be seen if the community is satisfied with the new Three Village Central School District; because make no mistake - this vote has altered the character and core of the district.
As always we remain committed to providing the highest possible quality of education that the fiscal situation permits.
